Homework

Your child has a daily homework sheet in their folder.
Please also leave their spelling words for the week and their Memory Booklet in the blue folder.

AR and library books are beginning to be forgotten at home.  
Students need their AR book every day.
All other library books are due on Thursday.
If students return their weekly books and magazines they can check out new material each Friday.

Friday Fun Days are awesome!  Students have begun to understand that Friday is PayDay.
It is the day they get School printed "money" for passing AR tests during the week.
Yippee for Friday PayDay!

Sept. 24th

Ask your student about...
     the layers of the earth
     volcanos
     erosion
     God's river rocks

Read together out loud
     Memory work (We can sing it!)
     Diary of a Spider (It is humorous!)

Practice
     Addition by twos using flashcards (This is peaceful!)
     Spelling Words for Unit 4 (Use some action!)

Pack Up
     Chapel Offering
     Food Pantry
     Signed Spelling Test

Rest
     Wednesday begins with the Lord!  We will sit with our Chapel Families!


   

Thursday's Homework

*Complete any unfinished school work (?)
*Read, Complete, and Sign Health Unit Story (5-7 min.)
*Study Spelling Words for Unit 3 (5 min.)
*Complete Math Sheet #12 (3-5 min.)
*Practice Memory Verse (3 min.)
*Read for AR (?)

This list has an estimated time to complete the assignment listed next to each activity.  There are two areas that are questionable. Time spent on unfinished school work will depend on your own student and the way they use our class work time.  Reading for AR can also depend on each individual child.

Please know that the students may want to color the entire Health story booklet, but that is NOT a requirement!  It is expected that the picture they create on the back page is colored.
